What is Brazilian Zouk?
Brazilian Zouk is a partner dance that grew out of Lambada into its own style. It's known for smooth, flowing movement, dramatic head motion and a close, connected embrace.
Whether you've never danced before or you're an experienced dancer looking for something new, Zouk is an emotional, expressive, and physical way to connect with a partner and the music.
Our mission is simple: to grow the Zouk community in Connecticut. Come to a class, a workshop or a social. Let the rhythm move you, and welcome to the family!

Community guidelines
We want every dancer to feel safe and welcome. By joining any class, workshop or social, you agree to:
- Read your partner. Pay attention to body language and create space for people to speak up about their needs.
- Ask first. Check before close embrace, dips, lifts, backbends or head movement. Seeing someone do it with another partner isn't consent.
- Consent to dance is only consent to dance. It can be withdrawn at any time.
- Respect "no." Accept it gracefully, without pressure or questions.
- Advocate for yourself. If something is wrong, tell an organizer and we'll help.
- Respect everyone. Discrimination of any kind is not tolerated.
